In a foot of snow last year, we still had a bunch of BAP players and a
whole mess of other players of all ability levels.
This year, we expect a good crop of BAP players including Kenny Shults,
Peter Irish, and Jonathan Schneider. There will also be players of all
other skill levels present, so everyone should feel right at home
regardless of their level of ability.
Event Details:
More event information:
Again, we're mostly concentrating on shredding and hanging out.
However, we will be offering a Sick 3 competition as well as a Shred 30
competition.
Sick 3 = Basically, whoever hits the phattest 3 trick comb (out of ten tries)
wins.
Shred 30 = We're playing with the rules on this one a little.. Basically,
your first 30 contacts (drops count as a contact) or whatever you're able
to hit in 45 seconds go towards your score. In other words, if the 45
second mark hits, and you've only done 20 contacts, you're cut off. On
the other hand, if you hit 30 contacts in 30 second, you *do not* have an
additional 15 seconds to cram more moves in. We're hoping this format
might help to even the playing field for players of all styles.
Scoring... As a test, we're going to compare scores for Shred 30 using
Kenny's new scoring system, vs. existing scoring methods. This will be
explained in more detail at the event.
Prize money: We'll likely have competition participants throw in $5 each,
with winner taking all..
