We will be welcoming international players such as Andrew Grant (CAN - 2nd
Place Shred30, Worlds 2008) and Phil
Morrison (NZ - 6th Place Routine, Worlds 2008) and hopefully several more, as
well as all the familiar Aussie talent such as Jeremy O'Wheel (Multiple
Australian Champion, World Record holder).
Besides our event hosts, the Royal Easter Show, we have Youth Hostels
Australia onboard as Accommodation Sponsors, and Elemental Footbags has just
joined us to help provide some much deserved prizes for our competitors. So
get practicing!
Exact scheduling details are TBC, however a lose idea follows:
Friday 17th April: Meet and greet, sight-seeing, BBQ, Footbag Golf.
Players party in the
evening.
Saturday 18th: All registered attendees will receive a full day pass
to the
Easter Show,
and the competition begins at 15.00hrs, for one hour. Events to be held here
will be
Shred30, Request Competition, Shred Battle and possibly Sick3, in front of a
500+ capacity crowd.
Sunday 19th: We move to McMahon's Point community hall for the Routine
and
Circle
competition events, as then all-out shred and awards ceremony.
All those wishing to attend the show, and/or compete, will be required to
register and pay entry fee of $30 which will cover Show entry, all events
over
the two days, and membership to the Australian Footbag Organisation.
