Hello Footbaggers!
Rain City Shred is a club for freestylers of all levels, ages and
backgroungs
to meet and play footbag. Please feel free to come to our Saturday kicking
sessions this spring. We have established times and locations so you can
come
and meet kickers from all over Washington state. We encourage you to come
out
and
hack it up!!!
We have hosted 6 official
Annual Seattle Juggling and Footbag
Festivals
They have all been a huge success! Footbaggers and jugglers come from all over the country to participate. This event occurs in November and you can find all the necessary info through Footbag.org.
Although we have some of the best players in the world here in Seattle there
are players of all levels that come to the weekly club meeting.
Kicking Times and Locations
To get the most up-to-date information regarding our club's footbag sessions, please
contact us directly to get added to our weekly email newsletter. Those of you who do not
wish to be on our list can refer to the following information as guidelines.
If you are visiting from out of town and would like to play, please contact us as early as
possible so that we may accommodate you! Even if you will not be in the heart of Seattle,
we have many members living in the greater Washington area who may be interested in
working something out.
We play approximately three times each week. These times are usually as follows:
- Sunday at Executive Fitness at 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday at Bitter Lake at 7:00 p.m.
Both locations include comfortable indoor areas.
Please note that Executive Fitness has two separate locations. We usually play at the
Medical Dental Building location near 5th Ave & Olive Way in the Downtown Seattle area.
Please make sure you are showing up at the right one! For more detailed directions, please
use the official Executive Fitness web page:
http://www.seattleexecutivefitness.com/contact-us/locations/
First time players at Executive Fitness are required to fill out a brief waiver for
liability reasons.
We usually play on private property at Bitter Lake, so first time players will have to
contact us when attending for the first time. We do, however, occasionally play at the
public Bitter Lake Community Center for a change of pace.
As the weather gets warmer we start playing in more varied locations each week. These
locations include Alki Beach, Cal Anderson Park, the Seattle Center, Gas Works Park, and
Green Lake. As always, we announce in advance upcoming session locations via our email list.
Our schedule (and locations) also adapts to special local events during the warmer months
-- such events may include:

May 19-20, 2012
